Rhodochrosite (ˌrō-də-ˈkrō-ˌsīt )-MnCO₃

A member of the Calcite group, Rhodochrosite consists of manganese carbonate, in the Trigonal system, typically occurring as pink, rose, red, white, brown, or gray. It has a vitreous or pearly luster and a hardness of 3.5-4.
