Caribbean Calcite 

Ahh…neither from the Caribbean (this stone is unique to Pakistan) nor pure Calcite, this crystal is named strictly for it’s appearance. Caribbean Calcite is a blend of blue calcite and aragonite (which is a polymorph of calcite). It has a Trigonal structure. One could accuse it of being blue calcite with aragonite inclusions, but I would resist this idea. I would argue that inclusions suggest base material with “extra” and this is not the case. The “inclusions” here differentiates the crystal.

This stone was named right. It gives very Bob Marley vibes, invigorating your intellect and emanating tranquility, optimism and pleasure. This stone is all about quieting the spirit, raising awareness, finding balance, and clears vision.
